How A Homeless Vet Reduced Pain In 100 Soldiers In One Day With Ear Seeds

t was at the Stand Down at the Armory on South Cottage Grove, in the hood. Tim is an ex. Army Sargent with serious time spent in Iraq, and the scars to prove it. He fell In love with our Pain and PTSD treatments at the At Ease Veterans Clinic at National, and from there followed us out to the VFW Lodge in Lima/Peru where we held our first Sujee Class and Pain Clinic for about 30 Vets and their families. Tim was fascinated watching us show them how to roll a Bic pen over certain fingers to reduce or eliminate chronic pain in seconds.

He got thrown In the water last week. Our Healer Warrior tables were set up between an HIV testing station and a GP station. These were mostly Viet Nam Vets, mostly Black, many homeless, and all in various stages of pain. We got mobbed. Because we were able to get relief in minutes. Tim watched my acupuncture putting seeds on ears for every kind of pain imaginable. And saw and heard the signs of relief. I took him over to the big Ear chart behind us and showed him how to navigate around the ear. Together we worked on 20 or 30 vets. Then I handed Tim the seeds and put him In rotation with the others responding to the crush wounded warriors as yet unhealed. About 500 ears later our crew looked up to see the crowd beginning to thin. And the Healer Warrior Program was born. Veterans learning tto care for tbemselves, their families, and fellow warriors.
